From Manhattan: Palisades Interstate Parkway. Go North to Exit 11 New Hempstead Road. Turn right at end of ramp onto New Hempstead Road. Go ½ mile and turn left onto Phillips Hill Road, just after first traffic light. Take Phillips Hill Road 2 miles (through 1 traffic light) to the end and turn left onto North Main Street (development of large homes on far side of North Main Street). Take North Main Street for ½ mile and turn left into Kennedy Park (across from Blue Jay Circle).

 

Zukor Field: Follow directions to Kennedy Park. Proceed ½ mile past Kennedy Park (through 1 stop sign) and turn into parking lot. Field is at back of complex, behind the baseball fields.

From New York: Take either the Hutchinson River Parkway or the Henry Hudson Parkway to the Cross County Parkway. Take the exit for the Bronx River Parkway North/Aprain Brook Parkway from the Cross County. At the Bronx River/Aprain Brook split, stay to the left (Sprain Brook Parkway North). Exit at Greenburgh Exit (last exit before I-287). Turn left at the light at the end of the ramp onto Dobbs Ferry Road/Route 100B. Turn right onto West Hartsdale Avenue at the second light turn left into Woodlands High School after a few hundred yards. Follow signs to the gym. Field is next to the gym.

 

From I-95 or Merritt: Take I-287 towards White Plains. Take exit 4 (Hartsdale, Greenburgh). Left at the top of the ramp onto Knollwood Road/Hartsdale Avenue. Go straight through five traffic lights. Entrace to Woodlands High School is on the left a few hundred yards after the last light. Follow signs to gym. Field is next to gym.

From Manhattan: Belt pkwy west bound exit 18B. Stay on the service road (North Coduit ave) and the field is on the left hand side.

 

From Long Island: Belt pkwy east bound exit 19 (JFK airport exit). Right after the exit there is an exit within the exit (Lefferts Blvd , so stay in the right lane. When off the ramp at the light make a left onto Lefferts Blvd. At the first light make another left into North Conduit ave. The field is on the left hand side.

FROM: George Washington Bridge (GWB)

1. Travel North bound on the Palisades Interstate Parkway
2. Get off at exit 6W
3. Merge onto Orangeburg Road, and immediately get to the left-hand lane.
4. After second traffic light, Veteran's Park is on the left, make first left onto Hunt Road
5. Parks & Recreation Office is 1st left on Hunt Road.

FROM: Bear Mountain Circle

1. Travel South bound on the Palisades Interstate Parkway
2. Get off at exit 6W (This will lead into Orangeburg Road).

FROM: Tappan Zee Bridge

1. Exiting the Tappan Zee Bridge, get on the New York State Thruway North bound.

From Manhattan: Take the Belt Pkwy, eastbound, to the Southern State Parkway towards Long Island.  Southern State Pkwy to exit 15a, the sign will read: Valley Stream State Park.  The field will be on the left side.

From Long Island/Brooklyn/Queens: Triboro Bridge to Major Deegan Expressway (Rt.87) North to Exit 11, "Van Cortlandt Park South". Keep Right on the ramp. Make a right on Van Cortlandt Park South. Via the Merritt Parkway
Take the Merritt Parkway south. The Merritt Parkway becomes the Hutchinson River Parkway South. Proceed on the Hutchinson River Parkway South/Whitestone Bridge South to exit 8 (Sanford Boulevard). From NYC: Whitestone Bridge to the Hutchinson River Parkway to Orchard Beach Exit. Go straight to large traffic circle, go around the circle and follow the sign to Shore Road North. Entrance is 1 mile past Pelham/Split Rock Golf Course.

From Brooklyn/Queens/Bronx: Palisades Parkway to Exit 5N Rt 303.  Follow for about 1.2 a mile and at the 3rd traffic light, make a LEFT onto Orangeburg Rd.  Follow for about 1/4 mile and make a RIGHT at the 2nd traffic light onto Dutch Hill Rd.  Go about 300 feet and make a RIGHT into the parking Lot for Tappan Zee High School.  Park next to the tennis courts and walk to the back of the school where the field is.

From Brooklyn/Queens: Take Throgs Neck Bridge towards the Bronx. After the toll, exit at Ft. Schuyler (first exit). Go straight, (Pennyfield Avenue), until an overpass. Make a left at the stop sign, follow Pennyfield Avenue straight past a traffic light to main gate. A guard will be present to direct you to the field from there.

 

Public transportation: The Maritime College may be reached by public transportation from Manhattan via Pelham Bay Local of the Lexington Avenue (East side) I.R.T. Subway. Change at Westchester Square station, and take bus -- marked Fort Schuyler -- directly to the gate of the College, which is the last stop on this bus route. (Note: Trip from mid-town Manhattan can take ninety minutes).

From Long Island:

Northern State Parkway onto Grand Central Parkway, exit at 188th Street. Left at light and sharp right on to service road; continue to campus; or exit at 168th Street, right turn onto service road and continue to campus.

 

Southern State Parkway to Cross Island Parkway (North) onto Grand Central Parkway (West); proceed as above.

 

Long Island Expressway, exit at Utopia Parkway (exit 25), left on Utopia to Union Turnpike.

From the Bronx:

From George Washington Bridge: Stay on Rt. 80 Expressway. Get off at Rt. 23 North. Go approximately 2 to 2 ½ miles on Rt. 23 till you see sign for “Newark Pompton Turnpike.” Make a right onto the pike. When you reach Ryerson Avenue, make a left. Stay on Ryerson, it will lead you directly to the field.

 

From Lincoln Tunnel: Rt. 3 West, take 23 North and follow directions above as from the bridge.

 

From Route 46 Westbound or I-80 Westbound:  Take exit for Route 23 North. Go 1.8 miles to Newark-Pompton Turnpike/Pequannock overpass. (just after a Paul Miller BMW dealer) Go over Rt. 23 & take your third street on the left called Ryerson Avenue. Take it straight as an arrow to the end. You will be in a wooded area and the field is hidden behind the trees.

From the North: From I-287 eastbound, take exit 9S, Hutchinson River Parkway (south). At the traffic signal make a right onto the Hutchinson River Parkway south bound. Take exit 23 onto Mamaroneck Avenue (north bound). At the traffic signal make a right onto Mamaroneck Avenue. Proceed north along Mamaroneck Avenue. From the South: Take the Hutchinson River Parkway north. Take Exit 23 onto Mamaroneck Avenue (north bound). Follow directions above.

From Tram: From 59th and 2nd Avenues, then bus to Octagon Field.

 

From Q Train: to Roosevelt Island, then bus to Octagon Field. Enter Roosevelt Island from 36th Avenue in Queens, turn right at bottom of ramp. Field is behind trees on left after ½ mile.

From NYC: New York State Thruway to Exit 12 (Route 303). Route 303 NORTH exactly 3.5 miles to second Lake Road (County Route 80). Turn LEFT onto Lake Road and follow Lake Road 3/4 mile to Kings Highway (County Route 13). Turn LEFT onto Kings Highway and follow 1/4 mile to Pitkin Lane. Turn RIGHT onto Pitkin Lane and go up hill. Park in upper lot if there is space. If there is no space, continue ½ way around circle and drop off passengers and/or equipment and take car to parking lot at bottom of hill. Do not park at circle!

By Subway: Take 1 or 9 Train to 104th Street and walk west towards the Hudson River. Walk down two flights of steps and the field will be on the left hand side in front of the West Side Highway.

 

By Car: Drive up the Upper West Side of Mahattan to 103rd Street and Riverside Drive. Walk down two flights of steps and the field will be on the left hand side in front of the West Side Highway.

From Holland Tunnel: West Side Highway/Henry Hudson Parkway to 125th Street. Make right to St. Clair Place. Left to Broadway and left to 145th Street. Make right to Riverside Drive. Park entrance is on 145th Street.

 

From GWB: Henry Hudson Parkway to 178th Street Exit. Make right on Broadway and a right on 145th Street. Make a right on Riverside Drive. Park entrance is on 145th Street.

The park is located in the East River below the Triborough Bridge, adjacent to East Harlem in Manhattan, the South Bronx, and Astoria, Queens.

Subway/Bus: Take the 4, 5, or 6 Lexington Ave. trains to 125th Street, then transfer on the NW corner of 125th Street and Lexington Avenue for the M35 bus to Randall’s and Wards Island.

By Car: (please note, there is a toll when entering the island)

From Manhattan: Take the Triborough Bridge to Randall’s and Wards Island Park. Immediately after the toll, stay left and follow exit sign to Randall’s and Wards Island.

From Long Island, Brooklyn, and Queens: Take the FDR Drive North to the Triborough Bridge exit (on right). Stay right up to and after the toll, following the signs to Randall’s and Wards Island.

From the Bronx: Take the Major Deegan or Bruckner Expressway to the Triborough Bridge onto Randall’s Island (stay right on Bridge). Stay right after toll and follow signs to Randall’s and Wards Island.

From New Jersey: Take I-80 or NJ Turnpike, exit 18-A to the George Washington Bridge. On the bridge, follow signs that say “Through Traffic” (on the upper level, you will want to stay to the left, on the lower-level, stay to the right). This will lead you directly onto the Cross Bronx Expressway. Then, take the Harlem River Drive/Amsterdam Avenue exit and keep left at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto Harlem River Drive and stay straight to go onto FDR Drive South. Follow FDR South to the Tri-Boro Bridge. Go through the toll booth and immediately go LEFT to exit for Randall’s and Wards Island.

By Foot: You can walk across the footbridge from E. 103rd Street in Manhattan onto Randall’s and Wards Island Park during summer daylight hours. Pedestrians can also walk across on the Triborough Bridge from Manhattan, Queens, or the Bronx.

PARK ONLY IN DESIGNATED SPACES, BETWEEN TWO LINES. $55.00 tickets are issued to cars parked in the employee's lot or not in proper parking spaces. If there is no space available park on Commonwealth and walk to the fields.

From Points North: Take LIE or Grand Central Parkway to Cross Island Parkway south to exit 28B/Union Tpke. At stop sign make right, go to Union Tpke. At light make right onto Union Tpke. Make first left at light onto Commonwealth Blvd. Go approximately 1/4 mile to the Queen's Childrens Hospital on the right. Turn right into the service entrance to the rear of the hospital. Fields are on the other side of the chain link fence.

 

From Points South: Take Southern State Parkway or Belt Parkway to Cross Island Parkway north to exit 28B/Union Tpke. At stop sign make right onto 81 Ave go to Commonwealth Blvd. make left onto Commonwealth Blvd. Cross over Union Tpke., go approximately 1/4 mile to the Queens Childrens Hospital on the right.

From NYC: Take BQE Expressway to Prospect Expressway Exit to Fort Hamilton Exit. Go on Service Road to Caton Avenue. Make a left on Caton Avenue. Keep going for approximately 1 mile. You will cross Coney Island Avenue. The fields are on the left side of the avenue. Field #11 is the last one on your left.

 

From Manhattan: Located on west side West Houston and West Street.

From NYC: BQE West to Prospect Expressway. Get off at Ft. Hamilton Pkwy.  Go two lights and make a left onto Caton Ave. Fields will be on the left hand side on Caton Ave.

 

Local Streets: Jakie Robinson Exp. to Pensylvania Ave. Continue to Linden Blvd and make a right. Continue on Linden until you get to the Bedford Avenue intersection. Make a right but, bare left.(if you make a 90 degree right turn you will be on Bedford Ave) this will put you on Caton Ave. Continue for about a mile, fields will be on your right hand side.

From Route 4 West: Grand Avenue exit south towards Leonia/Palisades Park. Follow Grand Avenue for approximately 2 miles and turn right on Roosevelt Avenue. Follow Roosevelt Avenue to the end.

From I-95 South: Exit 68 (same as NJ Turnpike) At light, make left following signs for U-Turn At light on Fort Lee road make a left Follow over the  turnpike to Grand Avenue and turn right on to Grand Avenue. Follow Grand Avenue for approximately 2 miles and turn right on Roosevelt Avenue. Follow Roosevelt Avenue to the end.

From Route 80 East: East on Route 80 to Route 95 North Exit 70, Leonia Follow ramp onto Fort Lee Road Follow Fort Lee Road to Grand Avenue and   turn right on to Grand Avenue. Follow Grand Avenue for approximately 2 miles and turn right on Roosevelt Avenue. Follow Roosevelt Avenue to the end.

From Brooklyn/Queens/Brionx: BQE to the LIE East.  Get off at Exit 19 - Wodhaven Blvd.  Turn left on Woodhaven Blvd then left at Queens Blvd and right on 90th St.

 

From Manhattan:  Take the Midtown Tunnrel to the BQE.  Takle the LIE East Exit.  Get off at Exit 19 - Wodhaven Blvd.  Turn left on Woodhaven Blvd then left at Queens Blvd and right on 90th St.

From Manhattan: BQE to Belt Parkway to exit 5 or Bay Parkway. When you reach Bay Parkway, make a left at the light. Travel to 79th Street and make a left onto 79th Street.

From NYC: Take the Grand Central Parkway to the Meadowbrook Parkway. Get off at the Hempstead Tpke/Coliseum Exit (M4). Take “Charles Lindbergh Boulevard” turn-off on service road if proceeding south on Meadowbrook or “Coliseum” turn-off on service road if proceeding north on Meadowbrook. Follow Charles Lindbergh Boulevard past Coliseum. Continue past Omni office building to complex parking lot on left.

 

From Long Island: Take Hempstead Turnpike to Earle Ovington Boulevard traffic light (adjacent to Coliseum parking lot). Turn north on Earle Ovington Boulevard and proceed to Omni Building (on left). Make left onto Charles Lindbergh Boulevard and proceed to complex parking lot on left.

 

From the Bronx: Route 95 to Throgs Neck Bridge to Clearview Expressway. Get off Clearview to Long Island Expressway (495) east. Take LIE to exit 39 south (Glen Cove Rd). Proceed south to Old Country Road. Make a left on Old Country and go 2 miles to Merrick Avenue. Make a right turn on Merrick Avenue until you reach Hempstead Turnpike and make a right. On Hempstead Turnpike go about 1 mile and make a right turn on Earle Overton Blvd. (Nassau Coliseum on right), go 2 traffic lights and make a left. Mitchel Field is 200 feet on left-hand side.

From NJ: Go up NJ Turnpike to the Lincoln Tunnel into Manhattan. Tunnel exits onto 42nd St, Go across town on 42nd St, turn south at 2nd Ave. to 34th St. entrance into Midtown Tunnel. Then take Midtown Tunnel to the L.I. Expressway east, exit on Maurice Ave. At exit light turn right onto Maurice Ave. Turn left after train overpass onto Rust St. Turn right onto 60th St, After you pass a little bridge (train overpass) there will be a fence on the right. Park and go down the hill to the field.

From Brooklyn and Staten Island: Take the BQE across the Kosciusko Bridge, bearing right and taking the exit for the L.I. Expressway. Get off on Maurice Ave. At the end of the ramp at the light, take a right onto Maurice Ave. Go about .5 miles until you see a fork in the road. Take a left before the diner onto 57th Place. Go to the stop sign and take another left onto Rust Road. Continue on Rust Street up the hill. Where 60th St. meets 60th Court, there is a bridge over some railroad tracks. The entrance to the field is on the right just past the bridge.

From George Washington Bridge: Take the George Washington Bridge to Triboro Bridge. From the Triboro take the Grand Central Parkway East. Take the Grand Central to the L.I.Expressway West. Get off at exit 18, Maurice Ave. Turn left onto Maurice Ave at 1st light. Turn left after the train overpass onto Rust St. Turn right onto 60th. After you pass a little bridge (train overpass) there will be a fence on the right. Park and go down the hill to the field.

From Long Island: Take the Long Island Expressway to Exit 18 Maurice Ave. Get off exit at first light make a left onto Maurice Ave. Take that for a 1/4 mile to a five way stop sign. Continue straight, this will take you to the left side of a diner. From there you will make an immediate left onto Rust St. Follow Rust St. to the 2nd light, which is 60th St. Make a right onto 60th St, go down about 1/4 mile and the field will be on the right side. You will not see the field from the road, when you pass a little train overpass park, walk through big gate to where the field is.

From NYC: Triboro Bridge to Major Deegan North. Saw Mill River Parkway North to Exit 17 Ashford Avenue/Dobbs Ferry/Ardsley. At the end of the ramp, make a left. Go 1 mile to intersection with 4 gas stations and make a right. About 1/2 mile down, Mercy is on left and field is behind the main building at the end of the parking lot.

From NYC: Queensboro Bridge to Northern Boulevard to 70th St (make a left) to 32nd Avenue (make a right).

From Brooklyn/QueensBronx: BQE to Northern Boulevard to 70th St (make a left) to 32nd Avenue (make a right).

Lorimer Street between Bayard Street and Driggs Avenue

From Manhattan:: Brooklyn Queens Expressway to McGuinness Blvd. Continue on to Driggs Avenue and make a left.  Field is Lorimer and Diggs st.

FIELD IS NATURAL GRASS.  CLEATS ARE RECOMMENDED

From Manhattan: George Washington Bridge to Route 4 East, exit at Van Brunt Street (you will see and pass a Bennigan’s Restaurant on your left). Make a left at the first light onto Forest Avenue. Make the second right onto William Street. Mackay Park will be on your left. Use either lot or street parking. You will need to cross over a pedestrian bridge and the field is just past the tennis courts.

From Manhattan: Take Queensboro Bridge (upper level) to 21st Street Exit. Make a right on 21st Street. Go straight to Broadway. Make a left on Broadway. Field is on left-hand side of the street after high school.

 

From Long Island and Brooklyn: From Grand Central/BQE going to Triboro Bridge, exit at Hoyt Avenue (last exit before toll) and go straight ahead to 21st Street where you make a left. Follow 21st Street until you get to Broadway and make a right. Field is on the left-hand side after the high school.

From Bronx and Westchester: Take Whitestone Bridge to Cross Island Parkway to Exit: Clearview Expressway and Bell Blvd. Go to the light and make a left this will be Cross Island Parkway service road. Go straight about three traffic lights and make a left on Totten Road, go under highway and make another left go about ½ mile, the field will be on your right hand side near the water. It is right underneath Throgs Neck Bridge, Field #2.

 

From Brooklyn and Queens: Take Clearview Expressway North, get off at the last exit before the toll which is Bell Blvd. Go straight all the way to the first traffic light make a right and then pass one light and make a left on Totten Avenue. Follow the above directions.

The field is located on Linden blvd between Vermont and Stanley Ave.

From Queens: take Belt parkway West to Pennsylvania Ave, exit on Pennsylvania and go down to Linden Blvd. Make a right onto the service road at Linden Blvd. The ground will be two blocks up on the right.

From Jackie Robinson Parkway: The Jackie Robinson Parkway becomes Pennsylvania Ave, keep going until you get to Linden Blvd then make a left onto the service road. The field will be two blocks up on the right.

From Manhattan: take Flatbush Ave to Atlantic Ave, make a right onto Atlantic and go down to Pennsylvania Ave. Make a right onto Pennsylvania Ave and go down to Linden Blvd. Make a left onto the service road. The field will be two blocks up on the right.

NOTE: There is parking on the road around the field.

From the Holland Tunnel: After exiting the Tunnel turn first left onto Marin boulevard. Proceed down Marin for approx 1 mile. Turn right onto Montgomery. Follow Montgomery for about 3 miles. At the end turn left on to West Side Ave. Turn right on to Duncan Ave. Travel down Duncan, you will see the entrance to Lincoln park on the left. Go through gates and turn right following the main ring road of the park. Take the third right which will take you over a bridge into the sport section of the park. Follow
