From Manhattan:
Palisades Interstate Parkway. Go North to Exit 11 New Hempstead Road. Turn right at end of ramp onto New Hempstead Road. Go ½ mile and turn left onto Phillips Hill Road, just after first traffic light. Take Phillips Hill Road 2 miles (through 1 traffic light) to the end and turn left onto North Main Street (development of large homes on far side of North Main Street). Take North Main Street for ½ mile and turn left into Kennedy Park (across from Blue Jay Circle).
 
Zukor Field: Follow directions to Kennedy Park. Proceed ½ mile past Kennedy Park (through 1 stop sign) and turn into parking lot. Field is at back of complex, behind the baseball fields.

From New York: Take either the Hutchinson River Parkway or the Henry Hudson Parkway to the Cross County Parkway. Take the exit for the Bronx River Parkway North/Aprain Brook Parkway from the Cross County. At the Bronx River/Aprain Brook split, stay to the left (Sprain Brook Parkway North). Exit at Greenburgh Exit (last exit before I-287). Turn left at the light at the end of the ramp onto Dobbs Ferry Road/Route 100B. Turn right onto West Hartsdale Avenue at the second light turn left into Woodlands High School after a few hundred yards. Follow signs to the gym. Field is next to the gym.
 
From I-95 or Merritt: Take I-287 towards White Plains. Take exit 4 (Hartsdale, Greenburgh). Left at the top of the ramp onto Knollwood Road/Hartsdale Avenue. Go straight through five traffic lights. Entrace to Woodlands High School is on the left a few hundred yards after the last light. Follow signs to gym. Field is next to gym.

When off the ramp at the light make a left onto Lefferts Blvd. At the first light make another left into North Conduit ave. The field is on the left hand side.

  1. Travel North bound on the Palisades Interstate Parkway
  2. Get off at exit 6W
  3. Merge onto Orangeburg Road, and immediately get to the left-hand lane.
  4. After second traffic light, Veteran's Park is on the left, make first left onto Hunt Road
  5. Parks & Recreation Office is 1st left on Hunt Road.

FROM: Bear Mountain Circle

  1. Travel South bound on the Palisades Interstate Parkway
  2. Get off at exit 6W (This will lead into Orangeburg Road).
  3. See GWB steps 3-5.

FROM: Tappan Zee Bridge

  1. Exiting the Tappan Zee Bridge, get on the New York State Thruway North bound.
  2. Get onto the Palisades Interstate Parkway, exit 13S.
  3. Once on the PIP, get off exit 6W (This will lead into Orangeburg Road).
  4. See GWB steps 3-5.

FROM: Upstate New York

  1. Travel South bound on the New York State Thruway.
  2. Get onto the Palisades Interstate Parkway, exit 13S.
  3. Get off the PIP at exit 6W (This will lead into Orangeburg Rd).
  4. See GWB steps 3-5.

FROM: Northern New Jersey

  1. Off of the Garden State Parkway, get onto the New York State Thruway South bound.
  2. Get off at exit 13S, the Palisades Interstate Parkway.
  3. Once on the Palisades Interstate Parkway, get off at exit 6W. You will now be on Orangeburg Road.

Go about 4 blocks south on Broadway. Fields are on the left.

From North: Take Saw Mill Parkway / Henry Hudson Parkway South to Exit 23 "Broadway, Rt. 9". Make a left at the light. Go south on Broadway for about 5 blocks. Fields are on the right.

From North East: Take New England Thruway (Rt.95) South to Cross Westchester Expressway, (Rt.287) West, to New York State Thruway South, to Exit 11, "Van Cortlandt Park South". Make a right at the light, on Van Cortlandt Park South. Go 2 blocks and make a right on Broadway. Go straight for a quarter of a mile.  Fields are on the right.

From North West: Take New York State Thruway (Rt.87) South over the Tappen Zee Bridge, continue on New York State Thruway South to Exit 11, "Van Cortlandt Park South". Make a right at the light. Go 2 blocks and make a right on Broadway. Go straight for a quarter of a mile. Fields are on the right.

By Subway: Take the #1 or #9 train uptown to the last stop, 242nd St. Van Cortlandt Park. Walk north on Broadway for about 8 blocks. Fields are on the right

From New Jersey Turnpike: Take Turnpike to exit 16w(Route 3). Get off onto Route 3 west. Take Route 3 west to the Riverside Ave. exit. At the end of the exit make a right. Proceed through the first light and then make you're second left onto Washington St. Take Washington to the end and the field will be in front of you. We play in Memorial Park at Tryon Field.

From Garden State Parkway: Take exit 153(route 3 east). You get off onto Route 3 east. Proceed on Route 3 to the Riverside Ave. exit. Make a right off exit and go to the end of the road. At the end of the exit make a right onto Riverside Ave. Proceed through first light and then make your second left onto Washington St. Take Washington to the end and the field will be in front of you. We play in Memorial Park at Tryon Field.

From Route 17: Take Route 17 South to Union Ave. Make a right off exit and go to stop sign. Make a left onto Hackensack St. and go under the railroad tressel, bear right onto Erie Ave. Stay straight on Erie Ave. and take it to the end, bear left and go to your first right. Make that right and go to Darwin Ave. Make a left onto Darwin Ave. and the field is on you right. We play in Memorial Park on Tryon Field.

From Route 80: Take Route 80 east to Route 46 east.  Proceed to Route 3 east and get off at the Riverside Ave. exit.  You will bear to your right on the exit and go to the end of that street.  Make a right hand turn onto Riverside Ave. and go about 1mile to the traffic light.  Go through the traffic light and make a left turn onto Washington Street.  You will take Washington Street all the way down until you see the field on your right.

East Side
FDR Drive to Willis Avenue Bridge (or Triborough Bridge) to Bruckner Expressway. Route 278 becomes I-95N (New England Thruway) Proceed on I-95N to New Rochelle, The Pelhams exit (exit 15). At the end of the exit ramp, make a left onto Boston Post Road. Proceed on Boston Post Road for 4 traffic lights, then turn left onto Pelhamdale Avenue. Proceed to the end of Pelhamdale Avenue and make a right onto Shore Road. At the blinking light, make a left into the Travers Island entrance.

West Side
West Side Highway to I-95N, Cross Bronx Expressway. Proceed on I95N Cross Bronx Expressway through Bruckner Interchange to I95N (New England Thruway). Proceed on I95N to New Rochelle, The Pelhams exit (exit 15). At the end of the exit ramp, make a left onto Boston Post Road. Proceed on Boston Post Road for 4 traffic lights, then turn left onto Pelhamdale Avenue. Proceed to the end of Pelhamdale Avenue and make a right onto Shore Road. At the blinking light, make a left into the Travers Island entrance.

By Train
From Grand Central Station, take Metro North's New Haven Line to Pelham Station. Taxi service is located at the station for service to Travers Island.

From Long Island
Throgs Neck Bridge or Whitestone Bridge to I-95N. Proceed on I95N to New Rochelle, The Pelhams exit (exit 15). At the end of the exit ramp, make a left onto Boston Post Road. Proceed on Boston Post Road for 4 traffic lights, then turn left onto Pelhamdale Avenue. Proceed to the end of Pelhamdale Avenue and make a right onto Shore Road. At the blinking light, make a left into the Travers Island entrance.

From New Jersey
George Washington bridge to I-95N, Cross Bronx Expressway. Proceed on I95N Cross Bronx Expressway through Bruckner Interchange to I95N (New England Thruway). Tappan Zee Bridge to Exit 8-Route 287E. Proceed on 287E to the Hutchinson River Parkway South. Proceed on the Hutchinson River Parkway South/Whitestone Bridge South to exit 8 (Sanford Boulevard). Make a right at the end of the exit ramp and at the second traffic light make a right onto Pelhamdale Avenue. Proceed to the end of Pelhamdale Avenue and make a right onto Shore Road. At the blinking light, make a left into the Travers Island entrance.

From Connecticut
Via I-95 South

Take I95S to New Rochelle, The Pelhams exit (exit 15). At the end of the exit ramp, bear right onto Boston Post Road. Proceed on Boston Post Road for 3 traffic lights, then turn left onto Pelhamdale Avenue. Proceed to the end of Pelhamdale Avenue and make a right onto Shore Road. At the blinking light, make a left into the Travers Island entrance.

Via the Merritt Parkway
Take the Merritt Parkway south. The Merritt Parkway becomes the Hutchinson River Parkway South. Proceed on the Hutchinson River Parkway South/Whitestone Bridge South to exit 8 (Sanford Boulevard). Make a right at the end of the exit ramp and at the second traffic light make a right onto Pelhamdale Avenue. Proceed to the end of Pelhamdale Avenue and make a right onto Shore Road. At the blinking light, make a left into the Travers Island entrance.

From NYC: Whitestone Bridge to the Hutchinson River Parkway to Orchard Beach Exit. Go straight to large traffic circle, go around the circle and follow the sign to Shore Road North. Entrance is 1 mile past Pelham/Split Rock Golf Course.

Public transportation: The Maritime College may be reached by public transportation from Manhattan via Pelham Bay Local of the Lexington Avenue (East side) I.R.T. Subway. Change at Westchester Square station, and take bus -- marked Fort Schuyler -- directly to the gate of the College, which is the last stop on this bus route. (Note: Trip from mid-town Manhattan can take ninety minutes).

From Route 46 Westbound or I-80 Westbound:  Take exit for Route 23 North. Go 1.8 miles to Newark-Pompton Turnpike/Pequannock overpass. (just after a Paul Miller BMW dealer) Go over Rt. 23 & take your third street on the left called Ryerson Avenue. Take it straight as an arrow to the end. You will be in a wooded area and the field is hidden behind the trees.

The park is located in the East River below the Triborough Bridge, adjacent to East Harlem in Manhattan, the South Bronx, and Astoria, Queens.

Subway/Bus: Take the 4, 5, or 6 Lexington Ave. trains to 125th Street, then transfer on the NW corner of 125th Street and Lexington Avenue for the M35 bus to Randall’s and Wards Island.

By Car: (please note, there is a toll when entering the island)

From Manhattan: Take the Triborough Bridge to Randall’s and Wards Island Park. Immediately after the toll, stay left and follow exit sign to Randall’s and Wards Island.

From Long Island, Brooklyn, and Queens: Take the FDR Drive North to the Triborough Bridge exit (on right). Stay right up to and after the toll, following the signs to Randall’s and Wards Island.

From the Bronx: Take the Major Deegan or Bruckner Expressway to the Triborough Bridge onto Randall’s Island (stay right on Bridge). Stay right after toll and follow signs to Randall’s and Wards Island.

From New Jersey: Take I-80 or NJ Turnpike, exit 18-A to the George Washington Bridge. On the bridge, follow signs that say “Through Traffic” (on the upper level, you will want to stay to the left, on the lower-level, stay to the right). This will lead you directly onto the Cross Bronx Expressway. Then, take the Harlem River Drive/Amsterdam Avenue exit and keep left at the fork in the ramp. Go to the stop sign and take another left onto Rust Road. Continue on Rust Street up the hill. Where 60th St. meets 60th Court, there is a bridge over some railroad tracks. The entrance to the field is on the right just past the bridge.

From George Washington Bridge: Take the George Washington Bridge to Triboro Bridge. From the Triboro take the Grand Central Parkway East. Take the Grand Central to the L.I.Expressway West. Get off at exit 18, Maurice Ave. Turn left onto Maurice Ave at 1st light. Turn left after the train overpass onto Rust St. Turn right onto 60th. After you pass a little bridge (train overpass) there will be a fence on the right. Park and go down the hill to the field.

From Long Island: Take the Long Island Expressway to Exit 18 Maurice Ave. Get off exit at first light make a left onto Maurice Ave. Take that for a 1/4 mile to a five way stop sign. Continue straight, this will take you to the left side of a diner. From there you will make an immediate left onto Rust St. Follow Rust St. to the 2nd light, which is 60th St. Make a right onto 60th St, go down about 1/4 mile and the field will be on the right side. You will not see the field from the road, when you pass a little train overpass park, walk through big gate to where the field is.
